Financial Modeling Programs Starting September 2025

Three comprehensive courses taught by Aldric Wetherill, who spent twelve years building models for infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia.

These aren't quick overviews or certificate mills. Each program runs between eight and fourteen weeks, with real modeling work that mirrors what you'd encounter in actual finance roles. Aldric's background includes everything from renewable energy valuations to cross-border M&A, and he brings that breadth into the classroom without the usual consultant speak.

Learning From Someone Who's Actually Built the Models

Aldric doesn't teach from a textbook because he's been the person staying late to get a model to balance before a client meeting. He worked at a mid-sized advisory firm in Melbourne for seven years, then moved to Singapore where he specialized in infrastructure finance.

What makes his teaching different is the honesty. He'll show you the elegant solution and then explain why clients often want something messier but more intuitive. And he's genuinely interested in helping people understand the thinking behind the formulas, not just memorizing shortcuts.

  • Infrastructure project modeling with real case complexity
  • Three-statement integration that actually makes logical sense
  • Valuation approaches for businesses with irregular cash flows
  • Client presentation techniques that don't oversimplify

Real Modeling Work, Not Toy Examples

Each program is built around creating actual models you could show in a job interview. The assignments get feedback within five days, and Aldric marks them up like a senior analyst would review your work.

Group Sessions with Collaborative Problem-Solving

Weekly meetings where everyone works through modeling challenges together. There's always someone stuck on the same thing you are, and Aldric walks through solutions on screen while explaining his thought process.

Individual Assignments That Build Progressively

You start with simpler models and add layers each week. By the end you've built something comprehensive that demonstrates real capability. The feedback gets specific about both technical accuracy and practical usability.

Access to Working Professional Network

Past participants stay connected through a group channel where people share job opportunities, ask technical questions, and occasionally meet up. It's casual but genuinely useful for building connections in Australian finance.

Template Library and Continuing Resources

After completing any program, you get access to Aldric's collection of model templates and formatting guides. He updates these regularly based on what he sees working in actual advisory engagements.
